Making a Difference Day Empowers Melbourne Community Activists

In an effort to empower people to make a difference in their communities, Landmark Education graduate Olivia Kinnear organized a Making a Difference Fair Day in Melbourne on September 26, which featured different speakers telling about different ways to impact the world.

According to a story in The Mosman Daily, speakers at the event included Andrew Robjohns, on how to start working for a political group, Carol Crennan, on how to support women in developing countries to get medical services and empowering communities generally; and Janine Moodley on social entrepreneurship.

A Make a Difference Speed Networking event was also held for people attending to contact others who are also making a difference in the community.

Said Kinnear: “We want to encourage ideas we’ve never thought of, the more creative the better. We want to empower people to become active in the things they care about and contribute to creating a healthier, stronger society”.

The event was held from noon to 5pm at Kirribilli Books. Visit The Mosman Daily to read the whole story.
